Yesterday was seriously a crazy day for me. The day begin with my lab 9am in the morning, Electromagnetics boring plus not interesting lab. Not to mention our set of apparatus was “cacated”. Halfway during the experiment, the whole set kinda failed us, no reading at all. Not sure about the reason, so we gave up and join another group for the remaining part, did nothing but crappy things until the lab was over at 12pm. Then, headed over for Taekwondo’s AGM which is supposed to be started at 11am, but only a few turned up at 11am and it was delayed till 12pm. Plus the new committee was chosen without any voting taking place, not sure why.
Nevermind that, the committee ordered 50 fillet o fish burger from Mcd to be given out as refreshment. Since there are only about 17 people there, each person get to eat 2 burgers. But I had 3 instead LOL … the most Mcd burger I ate in one shot. Can’t really imagine me doing so. Swt. After that I rushed over to catch a bus to Times Square, because I had a date with Chin Hong to watch “Drag Me To Hell”. Finally got to watch it after so long =.=. The journey took a very long time, more then 1 and the half hour and he waited for me for so long >.<.
I left TS at 5.10pm and I was planning to take monorail to Titiwangsa and than take a bus back to UTAR, but the stupid Monorial had delay. I was stuck 30 minutes for the monorail to move 2 stations. So I decided to get down at Bukit Nanas station and ran to the Damai LRT station, took LRT to Wangsa and than a cab back to UTAR. Surprisingly I managed to reach UTAR at 6.02 pm. But I spent around RM 8 for a journey back. Swt. Not much comment about the post mortem, all I can say is things that are done can never be undone.
After that, we went BRJ for dinner and finally reached home at 10.30 pm. Gotta go watch Transformer now. Bye.
Have not been blogging frequently again, first few weeks is always busy and full of activities. First week had passed, will talk about it in the next post. For this post, I will write about the Melaka trip I went last Saturday and Sunday.
The trip was supposed to be the main prize for the winning team of the ice breaking orientation programme, but they had 60 seats for the trip and so they asked around for those who are also interested to join. Ken asked me to join the trip, as the organizer was his course mate, and I agreed without knowing the program flow of the trip, to be exact I don’t even know what is the trip about. He told me that there will be a talk, so I was like okay only one and so I asked Shen Chie to join me and Eric tagged along.
A few of us googled for the place “Pantai Padang” but didn’t found the mentioned resort, even Eric never heard of that beach’s name before. Things got even swt when Shen Chie showed me the registration form. It was written “Kursus Pembangunan Belia Entepraise”, and at the bottom there were like clothes: “baju kurung” and we were like wth? @.@. But still we for it, we were supposed to wait at the LRT station at 8.00am for the bus, but Ken arrived late and we even took time to eat breakfast before going to the bus station. But the bus only arrived at 8.40am. So we begin our journey and there was heavy traffic when we passed Nilai, and the bus took an alternative road to avoid the toll and the jam.
The result? We took a freaking 6 hours to reach the destination. I mean WTH? It is usually 2 hours to 3 with bus to Melaka and we took double of the time. We even passed by PD beach on the way =.=. Worse still the 2nd bus need to stop for a while because it was overheated, swt. We finally reached the destination (Kamunting Beach Resort) at 2+ pm and had lunch. I would say the food served was not bad, taste good too. Much better than my NS camp food and also Dusun Eco camp food. After that we had to attend a talk about Skim Pembangunan Ekonomi Belia (some loan given by the gov) and the speaker called Yi Gang “Budak Kecil” kakakaka. Oh I forgot to mention that this trip was organized by YMM (Youth Malaysian Movement). After that we were given free time, so we headed to the beach.
I wasn’t planning to go into the water at first, since it doesn’t look that appealing with the light chocolate in color (almost all Melaka beaches are like this), but Mr. Lee Yi Gang with the help of Teoh Kok Hau managed to push me into the water Zzzz. So we were in the water for quite some time until I felt a sharp sting on my right hand. I was like @.@ how come suddenly that part of my hand felt so “la” (in Cantonese, like when you have wound and went into salt water). The feeling was very strong and eventually rashes started to appear on the hand. They asked me what is wrong and I showed them, and they said most probably some insect bit it. When I showed Eric, he told me the same thing: “Eleh I also got (while showing his hand to me, but his was just a small patch), nothing one lah”.
Then the rashes started to become bigger and spread to another part. So I went to ask a worker of the resort and she said “Alah kena ampai ni, kena pergi kinik ni, besar juga”. I was like o.O really jellyfish? (I thought of that earlier but brushed the thought of thinking I wouldn’t be so “suay” to get sting by a jellyfish). So they gave me vinegar to apply on to stop the rashes from spreading, and Eric too went to confirm that he got sting by a jellyfish. They said my rashes was big and quite dangerous, Eric’s was just a small part. So the organizer went to borrow a car and drove us to the nearest hospital to get an injection, asking direction from people. We passed by 2 Klinik Komuniti, but 1 of them was closed and we had to go to the one in Masjid Tanah town. The doctor was not in and we had to call him there. He was quite young, only 20+, he looked at my IC’s address and even knows where exactly my PJ house is because he used to stay in Puchong.
Apparently, the case was quite common, there was a serious patient the day before too. But he explained that one cannot die from a sting by a jellyfish. If condition worsens, you will just vomit and have a headache, and the pain will be very much to be bearable, so still need to admit into a hospital. But we got our injection in less than 30 minutes, so the rashes subsided quite fast, just a bit of mark left as of now. The clinic didn’t charge us as well for the injection, pain killer and medicine. I didn’t know Klinik Komunity provides free service, consultation and also medication. @.@
We had another talk at night, but I hardly listen to it because I was too tired (slept at 4am and woke up at 6am). After that, they had a clubbing session in the seminar room. 3 of us went to walk at the beach instead and went back to the room at about 12am after a mamak session. Me, Yi Gang and Kok Hau slept early, while Eric came in later. It rained that night and there was a big pool of water in front of our room the next day. After breakfast, we went back to our room, and I had a pillow throwing session with Mr. Budak kecil, which turned into a wrestling sort thingy on the bed. Both of us were panting and sweating when we went for the next talk.
Budak kecik ... jangan marah ye @.@ ...
After that, the organizers have a radio-dj like session which made me LOLed (serious), while waiting for the bus at 2.00pm. So we headed back to KL at around 2pm, and it took us 4 hours to reach Wangsa Maju LRT station. The bus went into Kajang exit which I do not know why, perhaps to go to the loo. Plus the other bus overheated again along the way and all the participants from the other bus joined our bus, almost 50 people were in the bus, swt. Overall, it was ok, can’t complain much since its FOC, but didn’t get to know any people on the trip, haha too anti-social.
P/S: Will update the pics if I manage to get my hands on them.
PPS: I had so much time to write this entry because my internet is down again due to the blackout since Tuesday noon. What the tooooot ….
This post is so outdated, uploaded the pics few days ago but just too busy to write the post. Went to 1 Utama with Ling Han on Monday to watch Angels and Demon. I don’t even remember the last time we went for a movie together. I can only remember the Poseidon Movie in Sunway years ago in 2006 haha. Oh well, Angels and Demon not THAT BAD as mentioned by some, but it resembles National Treasure, finding clues to the next destination and finally revealing the truth. The movie was kind of nice to me.
Before movie, we had lunch in Waffle World. My first time eating here, always passed by and saw many people eating there. Not bad I suppose haha. We were sitting there after ordering and it was only then that we spotted that there were lunch set swt.
Waffle World, 1 Utama
LH's drink, I thought they would use fresh fruits ... -_-"
Feet long sausage, quite nicer ler
My chicken spaghetti, quite a big portion
Triple Nutz, the waffle contains nuts inside it ...
This is what happens when you try to spread the ice cream on the waffle .... @.@
Was back in Setapak on Tuesday and have been to UTAR everyday to help out with registration packing and etc, was glad that I manage to provide some help. Had nothing to do at home anyway haha. RCM was over today, overall registration was ok, better then my time of course =.=. Only there were some minor problems with Mass Call.
There will be a Welcome Freshmen Concert tomorrow afternoon, will be there to see how Yi Gang’s committee perform (Yea I did this on purpose XD) hahaha and ice breaking on Saturday. After that, class will be resumed …. Weee but I don’t have class on Mon and Wed for next week haha. But Thurs and Fri would be hell -_-.
P/S: For those who didn’t receive notification via Intranet email, classes that are supposed to be in SE on Mon and Tues are cancelled due to the ongoing supp paper. So please take note.
As mentioned below, I went to the guy’s house in Seri Kembangan for a visit on Tuesday together with Pearly and UTAR officials, he is suffering from a growing tumor in his leg bone (I forgot whether it is femur or tibia or fibula) but thank god it wasn’t cancerous. UTAR managed to collect RM 16k for him, which is almost half of his operation fee of RM 30+k. But his operation took 10 hours + and his leg is still not able to bend properly now. He is also having trouble sleeping at night because he can’t move his leg much and it isn’t comfortable when you can’t move freely when you sleep. But other than that, he should be recovering well. He hopes to be back for studies next January, and hopefully he recovers fast and will be able to continue his studies.
Oh yeah, we got lost on the way there because nobody knew that area and Dr. Wang claimed he know the area and brought us without following the original direction given by them. We ended up at the other side of the entrance which is so far away. The worse thing is when the van wanted to turn back, a small accident happened. It knocked on a rock nearby a condo’s guard house and the bumper was dented. We were all in the van and felt that big impact >.<. After almost 2 hours journey, we finally found his house and it was actually darn near and we even passed by the entrance on the way. Damn swt.
Thursday
Ryh Shin, Kok Hau and I went to the Korean Fair on Thurs at Renaissance Hotel. Kah Yee wasn’t able to go last minute and Pearly had to service her car, so only Ivan showed up. Met Cynthia, Hon Tong and another Ivan there too. Well, it wasn’t how I expected it would be. It’s almost like our Toyota Higashi visit, but it was more grand and in a hotel. They had small exhibitions on the games, clothes, Taekwondo and cooking class @.@. But gave prizes to those who play their games, some Korean biscuit haha.
We were given a quiz paper upon arrival and it was written there that the first 200 people who got it right will receive a gift. So I copied Hon Tong’s answer and he told me all the gifts was given out, but when I walked pass the counter, they took out another batch of the gift. So I quickly find Kok Hau and Ryh Shin to submit the answers. They got it first while I got the last gift on the table and the person said: “You got the last one” when she handed it to me. I didn’t know what was inside until Hon Tong asked to see and was kind of shock when I found a 2 GB pendrive inside ~.~.
The performances other than the Breakout and Prison Break sux too. The performance of the Malaysia + Korean girls group, Crush sux =.=. They spoiled the Wonder Girls’ Nobody dance swt. I feel like vomiting blood when they were dancing lol. The Taekwondo performance standard was …. Speechless. Even my secondary school performance team could do better … even Kok Hau can do nicer kicks =.=” and they are supposed to be from Korea … Oh the worse thing at the event was the refreshment. There were about a thousand of people there and everyone was rushing for the food … some even took one plate full and still not enough and keep filling their plate. Most of us gave up trying to get anything as the food will be gone as soon as they were placed on the table. Some of them even took it from the waiter when he was walking to the table. Typical Malaysians I would say. Haha. So “mesia sui kan”.
After that took monorail to Pavilion to watch Night at the Museum 2. It wasn’t as nice as the first I would say. It was kind of boring to me too >.<, not worth my RM 12 haha. We were supposed to eat KFC for dinner, but when we were lining up at the counter, Kok Hau spotted the damn-freaking-small portion of chicken no matter which part, the chicken breast or the drumstick. So we walked out and went to Carls’ Junior next door instead.
That’s all for now, totally free from now till Tuesday. Will be going back to TBR then … and my holiday would be over …. Swt so damn freaking fast. Haiz.
My laptop’s messanger failed me yesterday night and I took so much time fixing it. Stupid application -_- can’t even uninstall it normally. Thank god Ken gave me a software to remove them Zzzz. Totally a waste of my time >.<.
As stated in the previous entry, I am here again to blog about my 2nd day of the NLP course. Nothing much really happened on this day, except for the fact that Ivan kept teasing me about that 16 and 16 and 16 in front of the whole class and faked that I cannot sleep because I did not get 17/17. Crap~. I went to sleep as soon as I reached home LOLz, too tired, too many things went into the brain for a day. Ivan mentioned it so much that even Mr. Rizal asked the class who did not give that mark to me. Obviously nobody would admit right? Swt … so “paiseh” that time. And a few of them kept calling me 16 16 =.=”.
Most of the activities on this day were more to practical use, convincing people to buy your product, how to make them agree with what you say and influence them. However, it the course ended 30 minutes earlier because the trainer Mr. Rizal was not feeling good. But, if you learn NLP and not practice it, it would be gone just like that. It takes time and concentration for you to practice it as well, not as easy as it seems to be.
Oh, Ivan and Darren became fake monks and try to “halau” ghost from PD B2 using bells and gong. But I think instead of “halauing” them, they attracted them instead. So those of you who are studying in PD block, beware ok … hahaha if got anything, be free to find both of them. XD.
Remember few posts back where I blogged about a girl who got slashed in TBR? Well, apparently she attended the NLP course as well. This world is freaking small -_-. She is my senior in 3E, and her cousin bro is my coursemate swt. I didn’t know at first, but I helped to fetch them to Asia Jaya. I asked them where are they staying in Setapak and they told me opposite UTAR. So I asked, Masria 3? They said yes, and I said: “Eh that day there got robbery” and suddenly the guy said “There they victim is her la” Omg -_-. Well she looks perfectly fine to me, very lucky of her indeed for not getting serious injuries>.<.
Mr. Rizal has his own website @ Take Charge. He’s a very good motivator and for those who are interested in joining soft skill like Vivian and Yi Gang, I suggest you to attend his Take Charge! Program. It is the cheapest soft skill programme offered by SSCU, only RM 25. But I’ve heard a lot of good comments and how interesting it is. Even Kok Hau went twice for it. I myself am considering joining it next sem if the time is right haha.
Hmm so that’s all for it, going out early tomorrow. Visiting a student to present him donation together with DSA staff. Nitez everyone, and good luck to you, you know who you are.
Today was my first day for the 2 days NLP soft skill program that I am attending, organized by UTAR Soft Skill department. Many of you asked what me what is NLP, it stands for Neurolinguistic Programme. For more info, visit here to get a clear definition of it. Basically it’s the art of observing and matching yourself to people you are communicating to, so you can influence them to agree with you. It is a very important and useful tool for sales, when you need to sell your product to a customer whereby you need to make your customer by your product by influencing and convincing them. Well, NLP is a subtopic of Psychology, and the uses of it don’t only include those I mentioned above.
Well, seriously the course is very very interesting. The person who conducted the course, Mr. Rizal was very good. Well, it’s not the first time I’ve heard good comments about him, even Kok Hau said he was very good. But this is the first time I attended his course and it was excellent. It was filled with many practical activities other than the theories.
Took my lunch with Ivan and Boon Seong in Jaya 1’s Simply Fusion, and the outcome disappointed all 3 of us. It’s sad to say that the food sux. We ordered the set lunch, around RM 20+ per person. It comes with a main course, a drink (coffee or ice lemon tea), and also a cake of your choice. First, the ice lemon tea that came was bitter, Ivan had to ask for sugar syrup to make it more sweet =.=. Even a mamak ice lemon tea taste better. Second, our spaghetti came, and it was HOT. Not spicy but hot, I think this is my first time eating such a hot spaghetti. It was so watery and has no taste. Ivan said: “Even I can cook better spaghetti”. I said: “Even my mum cooks better spaghetti”. Sorry but I don’t know how to cook haha. Last but not least, our cake arrived. It looks very fine from the outside, but my cake was so hard. As though it just came out from the freezer =.=. Cheese cake isn’t supposed to be that hard. Dissapointed. Should have eaten Wendy’s instead, much cheaper and definitely nicer.
The spaghetti ... damn watery ...
Brownie cheese, looks can be deceiving
After we came back, Rizal arranged another activity for us. He asked all the girls to arrange themselves at one table each and it turned out to be a speed date. Swt. All of us guys will take turn talking to all 17 girls once. Duration given was 3 minutes. I thought it was long … 3 minutes. It’s because we don’t know each other and we might not even have one common topic to talk to for 3 minutes. So it would be quite awkward when nobody talks anything right? The girls were given the task to evaluate whether they are comfortable when having the conversation with the guy and results were to be announced after that. So we begin our task, one after another.
It started pretty well for me, actually all the girls were kind of sporting as well, which makes the conversation much easier, it’s not like they will only answer what you ask them and then full stop. So I was able to create some topics with them, I don’t know why but each of them will have something for me to relate to. Either they are my friend’s course mates or in term of race, origins and also the place they stay. I didn’t expect it to go so well at first, was kind of scared too haha, of the awkwardness that might occur. Soon, we start to enjoy it and 3 minutes passed so damn freaking fast. The air cond was turned off halfway and the guys were sweating like hell XD. There was only one girl who I think it was harder to communicate with, because she spoke to me in Mandarin, and as usual my Mandarin is not that good and it was hard to find a topic to talk about (obviously different from my housemates, we can crap almost anything XD).
After that we finally went through all 17 of them, the girls went to gather their results and it was announced after the break. It started with number 1 and I was number 5. The numbers were around 4, 13, 15 and 10+ before it reached me. Then suddenly the girl who was announcing the result said: This one got the highest mark, 16 out of 17. I was like WTH? @.@ swt … I didn’t expect it to be that high. Seriously I was damn “BANGGA” at that time. I even beat Ivan WAHAHAHAHA … which the probability was one in a million (but only by 1, he got 15 as well XD). The lowest score was 1, but I will not reveal the name here of course >.<., but still I wonder who didn’t give me the mark, hmm XD.
The programme ended after a while, so that’s all for the first day. Looking forward for the 2nd day. So chaoz.
Well, I'm just another odinary guy like others in this world. I wish i have more friends to share all my feeling, go through thick and thins together with them. Life sure is lonely and boring without friends ...... so they really play an important role in one's life. But this is reality, its full of challenge and things dont go well as we expected ... so just bear with it and try to cope up, so thats why i'm trying to change myself ... to be more friendly, to be accepted by everyone. So thats all for now .......
